I made it through week 5 day 1 today! This week was much easier than week 4 for some reason. By the end of the workout I wasn't feeling like I was about to die. I was still sweating like crazy and tired but I wasn't completely spent.
As you may be able to guess from the title of this post, today's song of the workout was Dirt Off Your Shoulder by Jay-z.
It came on just as I was finishing up and starting my cool down and it sort of matched my mood. I was feeling really good and like a could do anything... like the struggles I have been dealing with in regards to my workouts are securely in the past. I'm brushing them off because they don't matter anymore.
This week is the first time the workouts change from day to day. It's going to present some interesting mental battles but I'm ready.
Finally, I weighed in this morning and I'm down another 2 pounds! That's a total of 12 since I started actively trying about 7 weeks ago. I'm really proud of myself but I want to keep pushing. I would really like to feel comfortable in a bathing suit in time to enjoy the fact that I live on the coast.
